Through Our Own Eyes is a program about Boriken,colonialism, how it affects people and how they resist.
The project planning started in fall of 2016 in Portland, Oregon, USA. The first Pilot aired in June 2016 and will run till November 10th 2016
Through Our Own Eyes puts a human voice to the people living under colonialism. In the case of Boriken or its colonized name Puerto Rico, the people do not have a voice in the U.S.A. Like many other colonies of the the empire, Boriken’s story and relationship is willfully ignored by those that benefit from colonialism. The program aims to make the connection between the colonial past and present and the commensal relationship of capitalism with colonialism.

Stevie Elepan is a freelance gonzo guerilla journalist associated with KBOO 90.7 FM based in Portland, Oregon, USA. Stevie is also a radical organizer and activist, a member of the All Afrikan People's Revolutionary Party, Marilyn Buck Abolitionist Collective, and Portland Chapter for Human Rights in the Philippines.
